Why Our Client Reached Out:
We were contacted by a homeowner in Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes, who was frustrated with the water pressure in their large, detached home. Despite having four showers in the property, they were struggling to get a decent flow from even one, especially when a tap was running elsewhere in the house. At times, the shower pressure would drop to little more than a trickle. The client reached out to GasLine for help, knowing we’re reliable and approachable local plumbers in Milton Keynes with experience solving complex water pressure issues.
How We Helped:
Our first step was a thorough investigation. We discovered the internal system didn’t cause the issue; it was actually due to low water pressure coming from the mains supply. We contacted Anglian Water on the client’s behalf, but after a visit from one of their engineers, it became clear that nothing could be done on their end.
So, we came up with a plan of our own. To ensure consistent, strong pressure throughout the home, we designed and installed a bespoke water boosting system in the loft. This new setup stores water and releases it with enough force to comfortably run all four showers at once, even if taps are in use elsewhere.
One of the biggest challenges was getting water up into the loft without disturbing the interior of the property. To solve this, we ran insulated pipework externally using high-grade lagging to protect it from freezing during the winter months.
